300 Farmall Seat/Battery Box Question

Just got off my 300, luckily, before I fell off backwards. The front of the battery box some how came loose from the platform. Has anyone ever had this happen? I didn't look that close, but it looks like maybe the battery box was welded to the platform and the welds either cracked or rusted through? The platform kind of looks like cast and I can't really see any weld bead on the platform. I assume later model M"s, 350 and 400 were a similar design. Anyone have any suggestions before I tear into it on my next day off??

In the floor of box near front and if its a IH box there's a channel or sunk place with two 5/8 diameter bolts, at rear inside corners is 2 more smaller bolts. If the center bolt at rear has battery cable on it, cable or it may need removed. Bolt goes all the way through top cover. Its common for the bolt heads to be deteriated from acid and moisture. If box is junk I cut it off above floor, clean around bolts and weld a nut on the bolt heads if needed.
