Red Power SHD-TA

Folks, I have decided to bring my SHD-TA to Red Power. I am reluctant to because I don't want anyone to vandilize it and steal parts.

I received this tractor from the orginal owner and he told me it was a tractor that was engineered my Farmall but never produced due to the 300 coming shortly thereafter. I am told by many that this is extremely rare and possibly the only true SHD-TA.

I am considering on selling it on the Saturday auction, but only for a reasonable price. See you at the show.

Oh, thank you! Watch for my bid. I'll be the gullible looking guy anxiously standing there in the straw hat and overalls with wads of $1,000 bills sticking out of every pocket.....

Well Joe: Since SH sheet metal is quite common, 350 quite common as well, little less so in a diesel, couldn't be worth a cent over $5,000. Probably little on the low side, a friend of mine who has 100 restored Farmalls tells me it's costing him $10,000 per tractor to have them restored today.

Come on. Well if you do have one you shouldn't have any problems with people stealing parts off it because your the only one that has one. So know one else should need it for theirs.

The vandalizing part has probably already have been done to other tractors to get what you have.

There have been several built by getting parts from other tractors someone told you a fairy tale but maybe some collector mite be interested. Now you realy need a SHTADV. There is also one of them running around neat rite down to the custom made decals. One did sell along with the video to show what parts were needed to make one and it bought many thousands but the buyer knew what he had purchased this was a SHTA. There are several of them rite here in IOWA Jerry METZ has the first one that i seen but since then i know where some more are even one thats being built.

Joe,Some one sold you a bill of goods and a lie that went with it.However dont be upset becaues if this tractor was done right it will still bring good money.I have a friend who is a avid collector and a seller of nos parts and he got bit by the bug.He bought a SHTA at a auction and it went for 10,000 dollars.Im sure yours will bring more

Sounds like some chain pulling there. Especially since the Saturday auction ain't a consignment auction. It's for the silver toy tractors, the top 10 belt buckles, a nice quilt, and the F-20 restored on the grounds. Basically the same as, oh, say, the last ten Round-Ups.

Is the HTA any different than a "F-20 with factory electric start" that is advertized here and elsewhere?

Well gentlemen, you have fallen for what is called a "troll." This "Joe IA" person has ONE post on this forum, and its subject is one that gets a lot of you guys hot under the collar (though I don't know why).

This is classic troll behavior: Create a new account on a forum site, make a controversial post, then sit back and watch the fireworks.

He posted it on purpose. There will be no SHDTA at Red Power. It's all just to give you guys heart attacks. This guy probably doesn't even have any tractors at all.

From the secrecy I have witnessed at a couple of factory test facilities, I doubt any "experimental" examples would ever make it out to the public. My vote would be it was built from parts by someone other than the factory. Without some kind of letter of verification from the company, it would be hard to believe otherwise.

We'll probably have at least four experimentals at the show- two Framealls, an experimental O-20 that was in the letter series design program, and the McCormick Automower.

Wow....its gonna look pretty bad parked next to the N.O.S. one that was just pulled from an old time IH dealer.

Here's the history.....This was out on test for IH and then was supposed to be returned. The "owner" decided to keep this hidden so IH could not get it back. Claimed it was burned in a shed fire. Owner died and Shysterr implement got it in on trade from the widow.

After reading Joe's post, Shysterr decided to unload thier treasure to ruin your day. The Shysterr family is hauling & delivering it to the new owner at the show....they traded it even up for 2 rusted out IH ice cream box cabs and a case of beer!!!!!

I missed out on an original, gold demo 86 series they had on the lot.....it was 1 owner tractor, who died before it was delivered and his widow drove it to church only on odd numbered Sundays in April during even numbered years..... :)

Wow, my 1953 White Demonstrator Farmall M pales in comparison. It is a verified white demo, though.

Just because you fill the gas tank of a super h with diesel doesnt make diesel powered! And p.s. that is the lift all lever not a t/a. City folks!!! Hope you all got some hip waders! This guy is flooding our forum with his manure post! lol how bout that SHD-TA. Thats a good one.

HMMM! Sounds plausible! I sold a lot of old cars from the 40's and 50's that way, with a different sob story for each one!
