Farmall 100 cracked block

I took my engine block to the machine shop to be cleaned up and found it was cracked in several places in between the sleeves and it could not be repaired. So I am looking for another block. Does anyone have a good block laying around they would like to sell? Are there any salvage yards in western Pa or Ohio I can pick one up? Will any engine block work from a regular A or Super A or do I need one specifically for a Farmall 100. Any help would be appreciated.

You do not want an "A" block; no provision for a hydraulic pump and a different sleeve OD. The early Super A had a different sleeve OD as well. In 1951 the Super A began using the same block that eventually became the 100. Look for a number cast into your block behind the oil filter 354898Rx. If the first 6 numbers before the R are the same the blocks will be very similar.

block can be repaired by putting ford tie bolts between cylinders at bottom don"t worry about top cracks head gasket will seal sleeves
