I am throwing around the idea of makeing a last minute trip to Madison for the show and wondering if there is an area to camp or a cheap camp ground close? My budget is a little tight due to getting cut in hours so looking to save a little money. Thanks Paul

If you want to run south and east of Janesville you can sleep in my yard.
Acutally, there is Hidden Valley and a bunch of other stuff near lake Koshkonong. I don"t know of anything (Not bc it isn"t there, just bc I am too far away)really close.
You could sleep under the bridges on the Yahara River

One more for ya to poke at. Depending on when you want to arrive or how far you want to drive after, Wildcat Mountain State Park near Ontario - Hwy. 33 in eastern Vernon County is incredibly beautiful. ~14 miles east in Hillsboro have a good breakfast with pie at Holves Country Cookin' downtown on 33. It would get you out of the Madcity to or from.

I think there is some camping on the grounds, don't know price. about 20 min south in Newville there is hidden Valley and a couple of others. Think it is about $50 a night, not sure. If you want a real cheap place you might contact Rock River Thresheree. About 30 min away, I think they may offer primitive camping for around $15 or 20 a night. There are rest rooms, might even have showers.
