Removing Flex Coupling

Trying to replace the front transmission oil seals on my Super M and having some problems taking the flex coupling on the main drive shaft from the clutch to the transmission apart. I was able to get the nuts off the four bolts but I'm having trouble removing the actual bolts. I was able to get one of the bolts out, but the rest will not come out. Any tips on how to remove them without doing any damage? Or am I doing something wrong? A special thanks to Bob M for the instructions for this project, they have been very helpfull.

Put a pry bar on threaded end of bolt and tap outer diameter of coupling where bolt goes through it. Pops right out.

Thanks, apparently not all on this site would agree with you on that, I don't have a degree to show for all my research into theory over the last 55 years or so and putting that knowledge to work.

I was able to succesfully get the bolts out thanks to your suggestion, but I'm having trouble getting the coupling half on the transmission drived shaft out. Is there an easy way to do this?

If there are three holes in the pressure plate, around the rear edge of the metal where the levers are attached, These can be used with three of the PP bolts (taken out at 120degrees apart) to compress the clutch springs. this allows much more wiggle room for snaking the shaft out. It does come out, it is just a geometric issue. JimN
