Need help with Charlyn power steering

New User
Have a Super M and trying to install the Charlyn power steering.Got the front pulley on but the fan will not allow me to install the pump.Is there anyway to space the fan out?It looks like I will have to trim the fan shroud also for the pump pulley.The pump bracket mounts on the outside governor bolts but puts the pulley into the fan blades.Read post from Bob M but cannot open his links to use his hydraulic method.Like to use the pump but how are you guys clearing the fan?Help!!!!!!
 
Does your SM have live hydraulics?

If so I'd highly recommend using the live pump rather than a belt-drive steering pump to supply the Charlynn steering motor.

You'll need to add a priority valve (flow divider) ahead of the Christmas tree valve. But you'll end up with more powerful and trouble-free steering!
