HI ALL.HAVE GOOD ENGINE OIL PRESSURE AT FULL THROTTLE.BUT AT IDLE IT GOES 1/4INTO THE GAUGE.IS THIS NORMAL?I SUPPOSE I WILL HAVE TO HOOK A GAUGE TO SEE WHAT I HAVE.IT ALWAYS STAYED ABOUT HALF IN THE GAUGE WHEN HOT AT IDLE.THANKS FOR THE HELP!

Try changing the oil. Old oil gets contaminated and will not hold pressure as good.
Oil pressure will drop once the oil is hot.

if the oil change dont work, get a new pan gasket and oil pump lower cover gasket from your friendly i-h dealer. drop the pan and then pull the lower cover off the pump. careful, a spring and plunger will drop out, be sure to get them back in the right way. look at the inside of the cover, it prolly has grooves worn in it from the pump drive gears. if so, get some emery cloth and a sheet of glass, lay the cloth n the glass then sand the cover using figure 8's till smooth. then reinstall. works good on the a and b motors
