Punch below for a short album of photos from this past weekend's NY John Deere Expo IX in Canandaigua.

Despite virtually everything being painted green it was actually a pretty good show(!)

Thanx for sharing. Those are nice pictures. I like the unstyled ones. I owned a '38 unstyled A at one point. I never could get it to run on any more than 2 cylinders, though.

Spent many a day on old John Deeres, mostly like the early "60 with the spare"... my little brothers actually had one of the pedal tractors like that.
You got some really nice pictures and bet you had a good time.

Bob: What do you mean, "dark side"? Aren't you the guy that told me about fireing up a big articulated Deere for a days work, blowing the bucket that had been put over the stack, halfway across the farm yard, and sending the poor old dog into a state of shock.

Seems to me that guy a the controls of a big Deere combine that I have photo of, is one Bob Melville. I know, I like Deere also, but I also like IH.

If you love old tractors one can't help but sneak a peak, even at green ones. I love hearing the old 2 cylinders working hard even though I wouldn't ever buy one.I see it as people loving what they do - even if they have to see green to do it.

Nice pictures. Nothing wrong with the Green ones have spent many long days on Red ones and Green ones and if I had to go out tomorrow for a 12 hour day and had choice of JD G or red M I would have to go with the G.

You're absolutely right Hugh! Virtually all the farm work I've done in the last 30 years has been with John Deere equipment.

I however have a deep fondness for IHC red (I grew up running Farmalls). Thus my "dark side" comment.
