farmall casting numbers

Where can I find a list for casting numbers on a farmall m. Not just the engine but other castings as well. ie. upper bolster , clutch housing etc.

I don't know of a list. You can find some numbers by going to the case IH parts web site.
Problem is the part numbers and cast numbers are not always the same. Sometimes on assembly parts it will show the housing # also, at least in parts books. Also the later parts books have updated part numbers for some parts that are different than what came on tractor. Also the ending suffix will change depending on the year tractor for a lot of part numbers. A example is the clutch housing for a farmall M. Say you needed a replacement housing from IH in 1960. They would sell you the same type used on the last type SM tractors along with a starter drive housing to make your starter work with it. Unless there happened to be a old stock one around.
