Model 46 balers

Can anyone tell me when these were produced? I am curious to know how old mine is. Is there a resource that has serial numbers listed by date of manufacture? Mine is made in Canada.

I think the 37 and 47 balers came out in about 1964 , 46 preceeded them starting in about 58.

One IH document indicates they were built in Memphis in '57 and Hamilton '58-'62.

My father bought a new 46 baler in 1959 and I believe it says made in Canada. Still have it to bale about 20 bales of straw every year. Al

IH started building them in Doncaster here in the UK as the B46 baler as all british produced machines started with the letter B. in 1959 MJ

I have a No. 46 baler parts catalog. It says it covers balers built 1957 and since. So I suppose IH started building them in 1957.
