Last year I asked for help getting my F20 running right. Turned out it was the manifold. Installed a new one and now it runs better than ever. This F20 was purchased new by my father in 1939. He added electric starter, foot brakes, pto extension and rubber. My father traded it on an M in 1950 and it was lost until 1970 when I found it in a salvage yard partially burned. Got it back running and repainted it. Paint has held up good for 30 years. Thanks to all who responded last year. Al

Brings back a lot of memorys. Back when I was teenager spent several summers cultivating from 6 AM till sundown on one just like yours minus fenders, big tires/wheels and electicals. Our 1939 had 2 wheel foot brakes from factory. By end of summer I had about 20 corns in each hand and some very well developed arms as our was spring assisted manual lift.

Nice looking 20. My Dad & his 20, both long gone, but I remember it well and even the iron wheels before he was able to get rubber for it after the war. Here he is with it and a fresno (some call them tumble bugs scrapers and various regional names) working dirt around a new home ~1949.

As much as I like F-20's I don't envy anyone who spent that many hours on them. I find them to be rather uncomfortable to sit and drive.
 
Back in fiftys Dad was not very concerned about my comfort. Actually I prefered to run the F 20 over our H as long as rows were 1/4 mile or longer, the F 20 steered better
