Family 1950 M farmall got it done pictures

This M was bought by my great grandpa new in 1950, char-lynn ps was added, the tin, pto shield, fenders, steering wheel are all ORIGINAL and came on the tractor new, I had to do no body work, came out great, my grandma is so proud of it and is going to take it in our tractor cruise this weekend, also is photo of one of my next projects. PS also notice the wood block on the clutch petal, was put on tractor in 1950 so grandma could reach the petal

And you took it out and found a mudhole right away! At least it wasn't manure. Looks great. How old is your Grandpa? He must have been born at least as early as 1925? Did he farm during the war?

Most excellent job!

Family tractors are special. My BN didn't have any wooden blocks on the pedals, but I put a couple of Grandpa's bent nails and a twist of wire back where he left them where the book calls for a cotter pin.
 
We can call this a "Tractor", but in my eyes I see it as thousands of Memories you have for your GranPa, and I'm sure you have made GranMa & Him very Happy.
