hyd valve seal on MH pony

First I know this is the wrong board but I have no luck on any other board, this board is the best for helping out. Anyway I have a 49 MH pony and I replaced all of the o-rings in the cylinder and valve on the hyd systems. The plate that goes on top of the valve that the lines are on will not seal up. I made a new gasket but it blew it out. Is there any product I can use to seal it that will hold the pressure? Thanks Steve

I barely have a clue when it comes to Massey-Harris tractors, but is it possible that maybe that cover is warped a bit?

A thin (.010") gasket made from felpro fiber based material should be OK. Make sure the cover is flat (flat polish it using 100 grit Silicon carbide paper with rotary movement on a piece of flat glass)
and leave it at the 100 grit smoothness. Use a very thin skiff of copper coat spray on both sides of the gasket letting it dry to touch before installing on the application.
Another solution is to have it grooved for an Oring, but that would cost a few bucks. JimN
