Hey guys, I was wondering if you all could give me an idea on the value of a Farmall 230. The one I am looking at would be a project. The seller describes it as not running but not stuck. The picture I have seen of it seems to show all parts are there with the sheet metal being in good shape. I'm located in mid Missouri if that would have a bearing on the value.
Another question I have is about parts availability and whether or not parts would interchange with other more common tractors. Thanks for any info you may be able to provide me.

I had one with a wide front, fenders, and fasthitch with a farmyard paint job (looked good from far, but far from good :) that had decent tires and ran pretty good that I traded in this spring on a bigger tractor. I was allowed $3500 trade in allowance.

Parts are easy enough to find. Hood, grill, etc, might be a little tough to find but those are out there also. Be very cautious when buying a non-running tractor. You could be buying a diamond in the rough, or you might be buying a pig in a poke. $500 or less would be a decent enough offer. At that price, even if it will not ever run, you can part it out and get your money back.

Thanks Rusty. I didn't expect to spend much more than that. It's good to know somebody else is thinking along the same lines. It is also good to know some parts can be interchanged from more common models.

Rustyfarmall is right on all points. I found one a few years ago and I am still working on it. I did not have a hood or grill. but have come up with them. that to me is the fun part. finding the part and finding them at a fair price. They are out there. your torque tube is kind of one of a kind, because it has a hyd.tank built into it. you will see the plug on the side. The c super c and 200 do not have this. but alot of other parts are interchangable. Head is also a little different, the numbers on the head are stamped in a different spot. I payed 400 for mine but it did have cultivator on the front. and it was locked up but I new I could part it and get my mony back.
