IH414 Main driveshaft needle bearing spacer

I'm restoring a IH414 Diesel tractor and currently servicing the main drive shaft which interfaces with the transmission spline shaft via a needle bearing. The service manual speaks of a dished washer/spacer that sits against the needle bearing. When I removed the main drive shaft, I found no such spacer. The parts catalogs however show no record of this spacer. Can anyone shed any light as to the purpose of this dished spacer, was it removed by design or added to later versions?

If you go to the online parts catalog under B-414, either gas or diesel, you will find it under "transmission gears and shafts". Goto part #15 which is the pilot bearing, there are 4 options available, under the 4th option you will see part number 3068278R1 collar, pilot bearing. I believe this is the piece you are looking for.

I will also say that I have probably rebuilt about 10 of these transmissions and I have never found the washer myself, or put one back in and none of them have ever failed.
