farmall H electrical problems

My H sat for 10 years and pull started after changing gas and plugs. After 1 night in the rain it hasn"t run since. I replaced points, coil, voltage regulator and wires. Still nothing. Any suggestions?

The following is nothing but information and good practice. (not a lecture).
Don't replace any components until the problem is clearly identified. New parts can and will confuse the real problem, and make it much harder to fix. Once it is running, then tune it up!!
The first issue is voltage to the coil, Is it full bat voltage?
The second is it converted to 12v, and if so is there a ballast resistor? and is it OK?
The third is there actually no spark?
If not is there voltage at the points when they are open?
Are you sure it is spark related?
The fuel could be plugged up, and making it not run. Tank supply hole, screen in sediment bowl, water in bowl, plugged screen at the carb inlet (in the fitting).

Battery is reading 6 volts with volt meter.
I will check spark at plugs and points.
I do not think it is fuel related, but something simple I am missing with the spark. I will let you know more after I replace coil wire. The brass tip that goes on the wire from the distibutor to the coil was not attached very well when I changed the coil and could be pulled off easily. So I think that may be the problem. Thanks for the advice . I appreciate the help.

One night in the rain would tell me there is corroded battery/ ground and other electrical connections that when they got wet no longer allow current to pass. Clean all connections bright and shiney including grounds and I bet it will be ok.

Well your advice is sound. Correct identification is the key. Being a new owner of an H that is in good shape was repainted and has all its correct parts ( sheet metal and emblems all there) Motor runs good and allthe gears work. My 6 volt system would not charge. The prior owner an amish young man did a good job but the wiring was so so. The battery cables on the 6 systems must be 2ga or larger Replaced them and a new 670cca battery Then sat with the wiring diagram for mag system with cutout that is my tractor. Found resistor on dash light switch for cutout bad burned wire. Called local IH dealer and found not made in many years but had an update kit new regulator that provides charging cutout and powers the lights also comes with complete factory directions. great ordered it The cost $120.00 ouch but what can you do . During the install what you are doing is replacing the regulator and rewiring the light circuit. Straight forward as long as your wiring is original. Mine had been replaced and I spent about 3 hrs making sure every thing was correct to factory spec. after all with a new battery at a cost of $90.00 plus the reg kit did not want to burn anything up. Any Way after all this and changing every fluid in the machine oil gear lube antifreeze new plugs and replacing the pulley seal for the aux belt pulley then came start up time Yes It Worked My battery charges lights work and my old 6 volt system will start in one crank. The Old Girl Runs Like New Money. For all of you reading this my tractor Mech is limited but I due have 30+ years as an industrial Truck Mech so there is a lot of cross over knowledge (old clark forklifts)I will try to post the IH part # for the update kit. The 6 volt system works great and this keeps the tractor OEM mine is a working machine grind feed with the aux belt every month for my cows on an old Harvey Hammermill.
