W-9 Cubes ?

I was just curious if there was an oversize piston kit that was used on W-9 TRACTORS?and I wondered what cubic inch the kit made them? I have a really good original W-9 and it runs strong. Thanks

from my harvester tc-32d parts book on the 9, they show standard, 5000 ft altitude special and 8000 foot altitude special piston and sleeve sets. 9 series sleeve and piston kits are extremely scarce and if you find em, you are looking at 1200 to 1500 for a set of 4. whew!!!

Original 9's were 4.40" bore. Super 9's were 4.50" bore. Bumped up pistons were once available, perhaps they were the high altitude ones?

I have 3 used sleeves and bumped up pistons. Had one piston cracked. New are rare. Paid $1200 for a set.

Its a good thing this Ol tractor runs good from the sound of that, but I bet the machine shop could find a piston to make work in there if Ya needed it

Original CID was 335. If overhauled with sleeves and pistons for a Super W9 you would end up with 350 CID which is what mine is.

ihc never produced any super w9 gas tractors. they were only produced in the diesel version.the w9 and wd9 had the same 335 cid. the supers were 350 cid.even if you increased the cubes on a w9 its still a w9 not a super.
