1942 Farmall M rear end gears

Does anyone know if the bull pinion gears and housings are interchangeable between a Farmall M and a 450?
My left gear housing is cracked and the right bull pinion gear has a couple of bad teeth. And not too far from me is a 450 parts tractor. I wanted to ask before I burnt up a day on parts that won't work.

My parts books say everything is the same.

No the bull pinion gears from a 450 will only work in a late M with disc brakes.

Just noticed you mentioned bull gear also, it would work. Bull pinion housing from disc to band brakes no.

Ooops, my bad.

When I went to the bull gear in both books and saw they were the same, I went to the axle housings and noted the same thing. I guess I can't handle two books at once.
