I threw a rod yesterday in my 460 international loader. Block done broke! Sheared off both of the connecting rod bolts and banged off my crank. Question is - Now i have to find another engine or at least a short block that is reasonably priced. Been looking around and was wonderin' if a 263 - 291 will bolt up. willing to try most anything. Does anyone within a couple hundred mies of upstate new york know of anything available?

The blocks will interchange. The 263 uses the same block with a longer stroke crankshaft. The 291 uses the came crankshaft as the 263 with larger bore block.

A lot of combines used similar engines that will fit but you have to change the front cover and plate, and use the tractor oil pan.
