Scammed, ?????

Good morning everyone. Do any of you know a person who called himself Georgeky? I paid for a tractor part about 2 months ago and have not received it yet. My last offer was for him to return 75% of the money to me and we would call it even. He did not respond to it and so I assume that I must accept it as a loss.

Have any of you noticed if he has been on this site any time at all in the last month?

GeorgeKY has been participating here for several years. His reputation has been good, and he is considerate in language, helpful in ideas, and interactive. Some months ago (can't remember) he stopped posting, then came back on line. If you search for his handle in the archives, the dates should be apparent. Lets hope it is an issue that has a positive solution. JimN

Last post I can find from georgeky is April 20th.

Unless the part was several thousand dollars, I doubt he ran off with your money. He made 1524 posts on this forum site. You don't spend all that time building up a reputation and friendships to screw someone out of a couple hundred dollars. That's a lot of work for a few packs of cigarettes.

You gotta remember that a lot of guys on here are retired farmers who have worked hard all their lives and didn't always take the best care of themselves. Health problems pop up like dandelions and put you out of commission for weeks. Just ask my folks...

I read on another forum that his son has been very sick for the last couple of months.

I bought a tractor implement from George based only on a picture of it. 5 months later I had it picked up for me and and it was just as he had described it and as the picture had showed.
I know his son has been confined to a hospital in a city about 40 miles from him. I suggest you keep trying to contact him

I bought a mower part from him a couple of years ago. It took several reminders and a lot of waiting but I finally got it. At that time his mother was sick.

He did not respond to my last e-mail, which has made me question his intentions. I have been having problems with my computer the last couple of days, so I was not able to read your replies. I am trying to be understanding about this entire affair. I will try to contact him again.

georgeky 's son has been unexpectedly very ill and will be in the hopital for a long time.

He has a thread on ATF updating his son's condition. Post title is "My son needs prayers"
