1958 450 clutch

Parked tractor yesterday this morning was going to do some brush hogging but tractor would not go into reverse or even out of nuetral when i let out on clutch it bogged engine and died.I tied onto tractor with truck and pulled a bind on tractor to rear and was able to get it going but gears seem to be a little outta place when in reverse gearshift touching instument panel.anyone know what the problem is.

At some point you got it stuck into two gears. Hopefully nothing was damaged by pulling it with the truck.
You need to pull the gearshift, and move the rails into the neutral positions, then re-install the gearshift.
This happened to me once, but right at the end of a pull.
