I was thinking about looking for a Square Baler for my H, I would be baling about 10-20 acres a year for my own use and may be sale a little. Can you give me some insight to what I should look for? Also going to look for a sickle Bar mower, any suggestions there would be good also. My H does have a 3 pt. Any info you can give me would be great.

for a sickle mower, i like the jd #5. good solid reliable mower, there are a bunch of them around and most parts are still available from mother deere. for a baler, i picked up a jd 14t this spring at an auction for 300. used it a couple weeks ago behind my h. the h pulled it in first and did a good job, but i think i will put the m on the baler next time.

Don't know what's available where you are, but I used to run a MF #12 with my H. It was a good match size wise, would pop out over 100 bales per hour and had a built-in overrunning clutch. Picked it up for $500, used it for 4 or 5 years and sold it for $1,000; the only implement I ever made money on.

We used a IH 430 baler with a H and a wooden hay wagon for years. The only problem we ever had is when we tried to pull the neighbor's metal hay wagon. Had to put the M on then.

I have a line on a couple of Sickle Bar mowers can you advise if the H would do ok with them?
