Farmall M oil pan

I replaced my oil pan gasket because of a suspected oil pan leak. I sanded it down, repainted and it looks pretty, currently the only farmall red part on the tractor, everything else is faded. Anyhow, when I put the pan back on I had a place on the right side of the pan near the back, for a pan bolt. However, after probing the engine block there is no hole for a bolt in that location. I think I did not notice this when I remove it because of all the oil and dirt covering the hole. Can anyone tell me why this is? Will this cause a problem? I hope to continue to use the tractor for many years to come and one day restores it, it is a family heirloom. Thanks tw

There should be no unfilled holes. If it is not leaking, don't fix it. There is either a broken bolt, or a plug in the hole. Fix it next time. JimN
