Farmall A hard to steer

I would start simple...
check the air in the front tires
check the front bearings
grease the steering pivots (spindles)
check the fluid in the steering gear

beyond that you might have a bearing problem in the box itself

If you will jack the front axle up and take the wt off the tires before you grease the spindles you should see grease coming out the bottom where they seat and that will help a bunch..

Now that is a good "shop tip".
