Farmall M dies when you give it gas,,need help

My M dies when you give it gas,I cleaned the carb,no luck,good flow in the gas line to carb.any ideas??? thanks..Jim

Have you checked for any air leaks around the carb to manifold and manifold to head areas?
My guess would be that the mechanical advance is stuck in the distributor or the weights in the governor are stuck. But it is just a guess.

Have you opened the main jet adjustment screw on your carburetor? Should look similar to this one off a B& S engine. Turn it counter clockwise a few times. Hal

Lean mixture. Don't just clean the carb, disassemble, soak all parts including (particularly) the carb body in real carb cleaner, let it soak overnight, blow ALL passages out with compressed air and put a kit from CaseIH($) in it, the adjust according to the Operator's manual.

my little home made skidder could use that carb you have in the pic lol, my carb is lousy,needs a rebuild or replaced..also cant get the lil B&S governor working right...Jim

open the main jet 21/2to 3 turns open and the mixture screw out 1 turn, and set the idle to around 450 rpm. this will make it run pretty dam good with a little fine tuning.
