Replacement lights

Does anyone know if they make brighter lights bulbs for the flat pan headlights. The original bulb is like the ones that most trailers use (the push and turn). The headlights on my 300 are just not quite bright enough for me.

Yes but. The original switch uses a resistor (gets hot) to make dim lights. It is direct to the lights on B (bright) This switch cannot handle brighter lights. It can be used to turn on a relay to make brighter sealed beams work, but it is easier to use a different 30 amp switch, and heavier wires. The original sealed beam light bulbs in the pancake housings will take a variety of brighter bulbs, but the switch limits the brightness to standard wattage. To wire a relay, put the power lead to the load side of the amp gauge, and the output (load terminal of the relay) to the light circuit. A relay ground is needed, and a wire from the light switch bright terminal to the relay coil. JimN

I use the 6v sealed beam replacement units with the rubber housing on the B with the loader they are brighter than original and work just fine with the original sw.

Thanks guys, I never thought about the resistor in the switch getting overloaded with brighter lights.
