Farmall M wide front end

What types of rims will fit this front end. On ebay there are rims with nothing in the center, and rims with lugs riveted to the inside. Which type is correct? Will they both work? Thanks stan

My Farmall M has a IH wide front with the early style lug-type clamp rims. If you have that style also, you need the "blank" rims with NO mounting tabs riveted to the rims. If you have the later adjustable type hubs with no lugs, use the rims with the 3 riveted tabs. You need the right rims for the right hub, the two do not interchange.

I have a Super M with a Shwarts Wide Front. I sandblasted the rims about two years ago and found they were IH rims, casted in 1954. Tractor is a '52. I think in most cases, the IH rims should fit. Infact, when I went through the bearings this past summer the CIH replacement parts for IH wide fronts fit and worked perfectly for in the Shwarts. Just my experience, with Them, hope this helps.

Most Schwartz wide fronts for H's & M's came without bearings and hubs. The spindles were the same so you could use the original hubs and wheels off your existing narrow front. I think the dish type wheel and hubs were an option if you wanted them.

Thanks for the Info, didn't know that. I did see that some people had slightly diffrent hubs and this now makes sense. Thanks
