What's this?? Foundry mold maker's "mark"???

I found these on my TA lever, Right brake lever, and left brake lever.

Any one else ever seen oddities like this? or do a large number of different parts have markings on them?

It's somewhat SIMILAR the Scullin Steel Company's foundry mark, which can be seen about halfway down on the page linked below. (.pdf)

At any rate, the symbols in the link are pretty neat.

I have seen small-block Ford steel crankshafts (Boss 302) with the "$" sign on them.
