Farmall M bolt What does it do?

On an M there is a bolt in the transmission plate cover at the front left (if standing from rear) I can not find a purpose for it. It is also under the gas tank support. The hole is a little different from the other bolt holes. It is graduated looking. It is right above the sfifting forks. Maybe I can figure out how to attach a picture if needed.

It is a lockout bolt for tractors that were equipped with steel wheels, you put in a longer one then to prevent shifting into fifth gear.

If you are restoring it I like to put a short bolt with some silicone on it to keep anything from creeping into the transmission. Just to be safe, becasue on mine the hole was full of dirt when i took the gas tank support off.
