Farmall M starter bolt

I accidentally dropped a starter bolt down inside the bell housing on my Farmall M.
Will I be able to get it out by removing the hydraulic pump unit from the bottom of the bell housing?

I dont think so. Get someone with small hands to reach down in there and get it. SHould have gone too far down.

Isn't there a cover on the underside you can remove to either get it out or at least look to see and perhaps get something in there to urge it over to where you can get it with a magnet or gripper from the top?

Or try to fish it out with a magnet. You'll need to mount the magnet on something stout, of course.
