Have a two wheel tilt trailer with a swing down tailgate and stake pockets form and welded on {like on the early 1950's pickup truck }the floor is diamond plate its red and there is a
IH McCormick decal on the front of trailer
{ very faded } it has 650 X 15 tires no fenders
The ID tag Says its a
Model 528 Serial# 2710

Does anyone have information or History
Thanks Larry Marrs [email protected]

I think Model 528 is the designation for one of two "Cub" trailers that IH built.

If that's the case, then you have a fairly rare and valuable trailer there.

The diamond plate floor is probably a replacement, though.

I pulled this out of a old barn its the IH red like on the old farmall's of the 40's and 50's the IH McCormick logo on the front is faded it was replaced it was many years ago the tongue and wheels are like the IH 4 wheel wagons the diamond plate on the floor is orginal as it is folded down and around at he tailgate and forms the back of the trailer where the rod goes thru the brackets that make up the assembly that hinges the tailgate its not homemade but is factory done

I have the same thing with a tread type pattern on the floor. It is orignal as well. Unfortunately mine was heavily used and rotted in the corners. Hope to rebuild one of these days. It is a rare bird and have seen prices around 800 to 1500 for "ok" condition.

thanks for the information it has surface rust but the metal is solid I have been taking pics from when It was purchased and each step of restoration Right now It has been taken apart and I'm removing the rust and paint down to the bare metal I'm taking lots of pics on every thing I do -bare metal - prime and
- finished paint planning on taking it to the
Cub-Arama in Fredricktown Missouri in Sept
