ID: Loader on an H

Hello Folks,
TractorSam and I are heading out on another adventure tomorrow, to investigate this H that appeared this morning on the internet sale site, Kijiji.

Its got a 7-foot snowblade mounted on what we're both sure was originally a loader frame. The frame looks intact, and the tractor good overall, but im just trying to get a grasp on who manufactured the loader frame originally, and once I know that, I'd like opinions on how 'good' they are.

Here's two pictures from the add:

Any and all opinions and guesses welcome!

Andrew: I remember those loaders being around in the early 50s, can't tell you the model number. Around central Nova Scotia, usually saw them on a C or SC. Any heavier tractor, and the loader made a lot of visits to the welding shop.

Looks like a good blade, with a pile of scrap metal between blade and tractor.

That loader is in the parts and pieces gallery. A topic was discussed as to how it was put together (the pictures were of the loader not mounted, and the components were not laid out in a pre-assembly pattern) the photos were clearly of the same (maybe a year or more ago)structure and cylinders. Your photos show it to have been reinforced some from the one in the archives. Searching might take time, but there were clear images and model identification.
It looks cobby, but it also looks like it will push some loose dirt as well as snow. Good luck, JimN

Most loaders like that have been scrapped. They tend to break tractors in half if they are overloaded!

I would buy the tractor, scrap the loader, keep the blade, and go find a nice used Du-All loader and put that on.

that loader is a new idea horn loader with the arched frame for use with a wide front tractor. this is the caddillac of the trip bucket loaders. they will take a lot of abuse. they also lift very high. mine will lift a five bottom plow off of the trailer and carry it away. mine is on an m with live hydraulic and power steering.

ANY loader will break the frame on these old tractors if overloaded.

So, is this a junk loader, or is it a good loader?

The pipe loaders IH offered through the 1950s were garbage.

I don't see what everyone is talking about, sure that isn't a heavy duty loader but it beats a pitchfork or snowshovel every day hands down!

We loaded lots of logs on a trailer with one similar to that when I was a kid.

Now if they are asking some outrageous amount of money due to the loader, pass on it.

Here is a pic of the Case 151 loader on my SC tractor, very similar design. Not a bend or a weld on it, though the bucket pins and latch need some work currently.
