Old pictures, Dad's Tractors.

Here are a few pictures of my Dad and his first tractors. The A came first then the M came later. Those pictures of him mowing the hay was actually right after he got it. In the picture of the M, the guy driving is a family friend. We had that A until about 1978 when it was cut it up for scrap. The M was the beast for several years. I remember it had the hardest clutch to push. I had to stand on the clutch to push it down when I was little. He sold it and the H to someone and I never know who it was.
The last pictures are actually me and my son Jacob with My Dad's last tractor. I grew up on this tractor, and so did Jacob. In the last pic Jacob is driving through the parade by him self. After Dad died I ended up with it and I gave it to my son. It is his parade tractor now. Not much to look at, but Dad would have liked what it is doing now.
More old pictures to come later. Ron

Hey Ron! Enjoyed your pictures! My wife and kids all complain about the clutch on the MTA...doesn't bother me any, though. Look forward to seeing the rest of 'em!

Great pics. It s always good to remember family times with our/my favorite hobbies...Farmalls. My grandfather worked them too. I remember riding on the C as he plowed our garden and also him pulling the drag disk between his place and ours on the gravel road and what a lot of noise it made,I m sure he had the attention of the neighbors too.

Bob: I still have a neighbor goes from one field to another with a 20' wide Brillion packer. Paved road level with fields, sometimes he heads for the fields, sometimes traffic does. His worst obstical is getting around mail boxes and road signs. He makes a lot of noise.

Usually it's 125 hp Deere with 20'folding wing disk and packer behind. Packer is one of those with 12' center section and two pups. He doesn't have time to fold the manual disk wings and hitch packers one behind the other. He's 76 years old with bad legs, takes him longer to get in and out of tractor than changing the equipment.

I'll get it now, he was down here last night picking on me about being on my knees in the garden. Wanted to know if I said a few words for him.
