Farmall C ground cable

Putting together a Farmall C that had been modified over the years. The 6 volt battery goes into the tight fitting box in front of the steering column and the box for the amp and temp gauges. In fact the battery box provides the back side of the gauge box. Of course this is positive ground. The cable for the starter goes from the negative to the starter out of a notch in the top front right of the battery box.

MY QUESTION IS????? Where does the ground cable go from the positive terminal???? Does it stay in the top of the battery box under the lid and ground to one of the two bolts connecting the battery box to the gauge/steering column?? Or does it leave the battery box and ground somewhere else.

Thank you for your assistance. andy

Answer is . . . A! It is a wicked short cable and terminates under the bolt holding the right side of the battery box to the control panel.

On a 6 volt system , it helps to use a longer cable & ground it to a starter bolt. There are too many rusty joints for it to get through with the original setup.
