magneto repair

I am looking for a coil and condensor tester for magneto repair. I am trying to get my great grandfathers carb and mag repair business going again (he passed away a few years ago). Shortly after he passed away someone broke into his shop and stole anything that had copper in it (magnetizer, coil tester, extension cords, wire,etc.). Does any one know where I can find a good coil tester. I have looked on ebay and other places but they are hard to find. I am looking for the kind that sets a voltage and then will fire the coil. I would like to find one of the following brands Graham-Lee, Stevens Electric, Simmons Electric, King Electric, Merc-O-Tronic. If any body has anything they would be interested in selling please let me know.

I talked to them. They said that they only do repairs on the coil testers. Sometimes they have a repaired unit $300-$500 but they never know when they will have one. I have been on their waiting list for quite a while. I would like to find something pretty soon. I really wasn't planning on opening up for business til next spring but word got around i was going to open a carb and mag repair and I don't want turn away business.

Did you ever get a coil tester. If not, drop me an e-mail at [email protected]. I took an coil into an local electrical shop recently and the fellow pulled out a home made coil tester. He said all the parts available from Radio Shack. Perhaps I can get the list of parts and instructions from him. Took took auto coil to him from my Farmall A that had been converted to 12 volt and just using magneto as a distributor. Coil was fine, but still have not figured out why not spark to spark plugs.
