My 504 had its cooling system reworked before I purchased it. The tapping for the temperature guage connection in the water pump is now 1/2" female iron pipe thread. Whoever replaced it just left the guage connection hangin on the block. My question-the thread on the end of the guage connection appears to be 3/8" but it is not iron pipe size. Would anyone know what thread this is so I can tap out a bushing to allow me to put the gauge connection back into the pump? Thank you.
