Are the armatures in H Farmall starters the same as the ones in C Farmall starters.
Also I have some Perkins sleeves and was wondering if any of you guys knew what engines they go in. Thanks Bobby

Hello bobby. From my research between the Farmall H starter and the C starter, the armatures should be the same. They both appear to be the same size in length and width. Both are 6VDC, CCW rotation, and 10 tooth gear

May or maynot be. There are actually two or more different armatures used between Letter series tractors but over the years one never knows what one is being used in a particular starter. Many years ago, I went through a starter for a customer but it didn't do the job, he put on a known good one and it worked fine. Took them both apart and found different numbered armature. Put that number armature in and it worked fine. Could the one have been defective, of course that is possible but it checked out fine on the growler and physically looked good. This was on an M . Another thing, the C usually used only two field coils and no center bearing and that will not do a good job on an H. .
