PTO for 300U Sold Without?

Can I retrofit a PTO to my 300U? I have only a blanking plate back there but I have a 3 point hitch and would like to run a Post Hole digger.

Some (probably most) were equipped with provision for IPTO. especially if they have a TA. If the unit has no TA it could have provision for a transmission driven (non-live) PTO. There may be some that are not equipped at all, and would require many parts to set up for either.
What is the complete serial number from the plate on the left side of the clutch housing, including letters and numbers preceding and following the serial#? JimN

Jim, The only number I have here at the house is 30666SJ, which came off a very worn plate riveted to the right side of the clutch housing.

I have a 300U, with a TA and the IPTO. I think it would be a lot of work, and some bucks. Maybe as much as the tractor is worth.

I the S stands for TA with provision for IPTO (good news) The IPTO unit and shaft should be available on Ebay, or a salvage yard. Look at the parts diagrams to make sure you get the lever pivot and linkages needed to make it operate. JimN
