Was having problems getting my F14 to run right and rebuilt carb and fuel pump and everything looked good, but could not get it to run right so I took carb off again and noticed a big crack on the intake manifold running right across the intake bore and going out about 1 1/2 inches on both sides of the intake manifold hole where the carb bolts on. No wonder it would not run right, it was sucking in air. My question is since it is on the intake and not exhaust, can I notch out the crack and repair it with JB Weld. I don't think I am good enough to weld or braze it. I have a feeling finding a good used one may be tough and right now I don't want to spend $200 on a new reproduction one.
