I have a 6 volt H,with the 4 position switch. I bought a new set of lights and a new headlight wiring harness. I hooked them up and the lights did"nt come on. I checked the wiring diagrams to make sure I hooked the wiring up correctly. Any help on the matter would be appreciated.

Is the battery pos or neg ground? no matter -you must have a good ground of the lights to the tractor before they will work. Test the continuity of the bulb all the way to where the lights go on the light bar. Then make sure the light bar is grounded to the steering podt and so on. I ended up grounding the reflectors to the tear shaped body of the lights to get a good ground. It always seems grounding 6 volts takes a lot more work. Henry

Can you check with a test light to see if you power going into the light switch ? Make sure your test light is well grounded, also sometimes it can be difficult to get new lights properly grounded if the light bar is a little rusty, or if the area where the light bar mounts is loose or rusty / dirty. Try lightly sanding or filing the area on the light bar where the lights clamp on and make sure they are very tight. If you have power going into the switch, but not out, you could hve a bad switch?? Check it out and post back....Tom

Had power to the light switch. So I Took the lights back off and sanded the clamps. Bingo I had light. Thanks guys. This site is great.
