There"s not really a weight limit for the pump- the pressure will be 500-800 psi, depending on the model and condition. Here"s a chart from the Liftall manual that shows how much weight you can lift, depending on the size of the cylinder.
If you"re using a three point and boom pole and everything"s in good shape the limit will be what lifts the front end of the tractor.
Good luck, Wm

(quoted from post at 18:04:50 06/10/09) belly pump won't lift a ford 460 motor and auto tranny. what is the lifting max weight?

Front end loader or boom pole on a 3 point? Either way there should not be a problem.

I know for a fact that an H equipped with a McCormick #31 loader will pick up a 1,500# bale of hay, and no, I do not recommend doing it.

the lift is sorta of a home made front loader job we took it off a old Allischalmer tractor. the cylinders are about 2 1/2 the piston is about 1 1/2 about 5ft long single action

Sounds like you have a pair of cultivator cylinders. Way too small for what you want them to do.

If the loader came off a Allis Chalmers early tractor , they were high pressure low volume. Usually small cylinders that did the job because of higher hydraulic pressure. Probably need bigger cylinders. Bernie Steffen
