300 farmall hydraulics

I have a 300 farmall with hydraulic power steering, 2 pt. quick hitch and front end loader. When I use the hydraulics heavily for a short time the hydraulics quit completely. Can anyone explain to me what is happening. any info would be greatly appreciated. Roscoa

I would look for heat in the system. The pump can get so hot as to boil the fluid. If it gets extremely hot. something is putting a load on the pump. it might be a valve not centering, or a mis adjusted pressure control, or a single or dual action control (bottom end of each valve) that is not turned all the way. to the correct position.
If the system remains cool, an air leak into the intake side of the pump can cause foaming and non operation. Good luck, JimN

Mine did the same thing it was the tube filter in the resovoir plugged solid
