Farmall F-20 shutters Question??

I recently removed and sold, shutters from a parts machine F-20 (1939)with serial number on it.. And all was well, good transaction good man. PROBLEM...When he got the shutters he said they are too small must be off a F-14. QUESTION?? Was there a change in design of the later F-20 that could explain this??? or did some one else tinker with these. Every thing is original...????????

are they not tall enough or wide enough. maybe he doesnt know they dont go all the way down.

yep just gave away a set to a relative. there was a filler plate used below the shutters. 2 or 3 inches wide if i remember right. these were on a 36 he put them on a 38. leroy
