What is the name of the type of chain that drive the fertilizer unit on the Farmall row crops( SA thru-140 and cub)? I know its not a "roller" type chain
Also does anyone know how the chain is "sized"?

Sometimes the simple things are the hardest find.

As always all comments and answers are greatly welcome.....

We always just called it elevator chain.

I had never actually shopped for any until about six months ago; I still can't believe the price. I never knew solid gold could rust like that.

What were you quoted?

More or less than the DEERE price of $3.20 a foot?

Hi, Bob.

I was thinking of TSC's price of $4.90 per foot for #32. It just seemed like a lot of money for no more than what the chain appeared to be.

I guess the cool thing, though, is that it can handle a little hay or twine, or a cornstalk or two, without jumping off a sprocket.
