What can be done to soup up the govenor on my Super M ? I want to try and do some stone boat and transfer sled pulling.

With out looking at it it is had to say what it needs to make it like new as hey it is how old and just how well does your governor work now so it may only need a new spring it may need new bushing in the arms as they may have fallen out over the years and this lets the spring sorta just flop around in the arms the thrust bearings may have lost of ware and i know that the throttle linage has lots of ware and is the governor scynked with the carb . Is the tractor tuned to the max with valves set correctly is the timing set wright to the NEW spec's does the dist have and update kit in it . these are the things you need to know to get the most you can get out of one . It is not just a matter of OH well i am going to turn up the rpm's and put this spring in and i am going to stomp on everybody Just like setting up a Drag car if ya want to be top dog then first you have to learn to tune better then the rest and get that tinny little extra out of it
