Hello, I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on the gov on my 400. It says M&W Tractor Products G-11 add or all Powr Governor. How is this different than the standard IH issued gov? Frankly, I'm not even sure if it's still in the housing. There's fresh red sealant where the gasket would be on the gov cover. What should I expect to see when I take the cover off? Was there a manual of some kind produced for it? I'm installing a different piston set later in the year & would like to know if there are any neccessary adustments that need to be made for the new/different pistons. Thanks - Mike

The standard, IH issue governor has only 2 flyweights inside. The M&W governor will have 4 flyweights which allows it to respond faster. It really does not add any power.

The M&W gov has less droop than stock and so makes the tractor feel a bit more "snappy". But it makes no more power than stock.

There are no adjustments beyond the stock gov's idle and high speed setting screws.
