Can anyone tell me- what years the international model 505 were built, and what, if any problems were unique to this model tractor- Thanks

If you will check on the left side of this page you will see a "Research & Info" section. If you will check the Production Nbrs area it will give you the years that the tractor was made. Just put in what make and model.

Went and double checked. Check under Research and Info- Serial nummbers. The International 504 is shown there.

external_link shows them being made from '61-'68. Not the most complete or reliable source, but probably okay in this instance.

I need to start using modern view so I can edit when I screw up.

Farmall 504 --'61-'68
International 504 -- '62-'68

Rayme: If the 504 is gas, it is a non sleeved engine, basically non rebuildable 40 years later. The C-153 wasn't enough engine for that chassis to begin with. They were supposed to be 10 more hp than a 300. I had one and at 1,500 hours it wouldn't hold a candle to my 300 that was on it's 3rd set of pistons and sleeves. The 504 was fresh off a rebuild at the time and 300 probably had 2,000 hours on it's 3 rd set of pistons and sleeves.

Now, if it's diesel that is a whole new ball game, D-188 engine, and it will crank out 45hp.

You can edit, just switch to modern view. BTDT several times. Only thing I use for modern view.

Hmmm. I thought I tried that once and wasn't able. I'll give that another look next time. (Guaranteed, there'll be a next time!)

Thanks!

In order to get Modern to work with Classic, they had to do away with good features like edit... and Personal Messages... and a few others I can't recall offhand.

It's a shame. It's 2009, and "Modern" is built on 5 year old (at least) software. Too bad some folks are unwilling to figure out a few different buttons.

I think YT only gives you a few minutes, then it won't work.
This is the edit done in modern view, 1st sentence is the original post in classic view.
