IH 404 info needed

I am going to look at a 404 on Saturday. I have not heard it run or seen it up close, just pictures. I am going by what a friend told me about it. It has new tires on the rear and 3pt. Sheetmetal looks good with some surface rust. Are there any weak spots in this type of tractor, engine or drive train? What is the HP? Is it worth $1500.00 if it runs decent? Thanks for the info

$1500 for a 404 utility would be a fair price. for a farmall it would be a bargain. many running farmall 404s get into the high 2k's.
you could easily sink $800-1000 into tires and tubes.
