Which section of the tank is the main reservoir?
Is the lid behind the steering post the starting section used for gasoline?

Thanks in advance.....

The front section is the main tank. The rear is the "reserve" tank. Always operate the tractor with the valve on the sediment bowl closed, and when you run out of gas in the main tank, then open that valve to switch to reserve.
The "lid" behind the steering post is a reserve water tank for the radiator, Fill it to the top with water.

He is speaking of the "lid" in front of the steering wheel. Which he is correct. He wasn't talking about the radiator.

Originally, gasoline was used in the small tank to start and warm up the engine. After that it was shut off and the other tank containing tracktor fuel, was then turned on. It was not intended to be used as a reserve tank.
