666 Brake Lock Up

So I have just replaced all brake parts on both sides of my 666, (all 4 disks, all six balls, all six springs)DID NOT replace disk actuating assembly (casheih #391446R91) Got all of that from A & I parts, not CaseIH. Left both the brakes nice and loose to break them in. brakes have been getting "stickier" as time goes on. Now when turning while cultivating brakes instantly bind tight, it does not let them "slip" to make the corner. Are cheap brake disks to blame or do I have bad disk actuating assembly since those are the only parts I have not replaced?

did you check for play on the pinion shafts? (the same shafts the brake disks engage)
Having wheel lock up problems on our 656, with what sounded like brakes engaging randomly, turns out the pinion shaft bearing is out on one side and possibly the needle bearing it passes through in the differential case.
also dependig how far you dissassemble and which parts you replace, you may need to measure and reshim for bearing play

Will add kind of a late comment here. Provided all parts are in good shape and shimmed properly, you can start to think about the quality of the brake discs. Has been a real problem since the use of asbestos has been restricted. The last discs I used from CaseIH worked well. Earlier ones did not. Had problems on the case tractors also. A little off subject, but the old caravan my son gave me because it needed a new fuel pump and he didn't want to spend any money on it with over 200 K miles, well, it developed a rear brake problem, broke a spring and as linings were worn out, I put in a cheap set of shoes. I took them drums off about 3 or four times to make sure things were ok, polished up the drums and linings etc. It would lock up a wheel with a touch of the pedal. I took them shoes out, put in another pair of better quality and have about another 30 K on them. Lot of difference in lining materials.
